Casa Robada, 2017

Two person show with Guido Ignatti at URBANA, curated by Jorgelina Dacil

For this two-person exhibition, curated by Jorgelina Dacil, I presented House of Cards, a sculptural piece ( picture above ) and a mural titled Atado [Tided up], while Guido Ignatti exhibited his own sculptural works, titled Tapiados [Boarded up], made from wooden planks, evoking the kind used to barricade spaces for protection.

Both bodies of work explored the idea of the home as something fragile and under threat.

The title, Casa Robada [Stolen Home], references a card game in which players are exposed to vulnerability and the external danger of having their card pit stolen, and must defend it in order to win.
